Faith Bridged is designed as both a discipleship resource and a cultural bridge, guiding readers to rediscover ancient Chinese wisdom and philosophy through the illuminating lens of the Bible.

After years of cross-cultural ministry, John Long saw many Chinese seekers view Christianity as a “Western religion.” He wrote this book to show how God’s truth speaks to every nation. Faith Bridged grew out of years of cross-cultural ministry with International Village Ministry.

The book explores twelve essential Christian doctrines alongside Confucian, Daoist, and classical Chinese thought. It remains centered on Christ and Scripture; Chinese traditions are points of dialogue, not equal authorities. The book considers how biblical truth fulfills the highest ideals of Chinese wisdom while correcting its limitations.

Faith Bridged is for Chinese students and families, seekers, second-generation Chinese Christians, pastors, small groups, and anyone serving across cultures.
